About the content

tweedekker1916 is a hobby site for a game; nothing is sold and there is no company behind it. The content may be added to or changed at any time, without that being announced beforehand. Despite the care that has gone into it, something on it may be incomplete or wrong; the site is provided as it is, without any guarantee that everything is correct or always works.

Liability

Using this site is at your own risk. No liability is accepted for damage arising from using the site, from the information on it, or from the site being temporarily unreachable — for instance during a running game.

For personal details you submit through the sign-up form, and for the cookies the site sets itself, what the privacy statement says applies; that page is the authoritative one, not this one.

Third parties

This site does not link to external pages and loads no resources from third parties; the typefaces too are served from its own server.

Origin and copyright

tweedekker1916 is an original adaptation of the board game Sopwith (David Dyer, 1978), which was later also played by post. The rules text, the playing board and scenarios such as Duel and Zeppelin are original work. Tools were used in building the site; the final design, rules and adaptations are the maker's own. This website is not affiliated with or endorsed by David Dyer, the publishers of Sopwith, or others who adapted and promoted the game as a postal game.

In building this site, an effort was made not to reuse anyone else's protected work: text, artwork and rules wording are not taken from Sopwith or from postal rules. If you nonetheless believe something of yours is here that shouldn't be, please get in touch via contact at tweedekker1916.eu; it will then be looked at and removed as quickly as possible if needed. Copyright in this site's own text, design and code, insofar as copyright subsists in them, belongs to tweedekker1916.

This site uses technical cookies only, among them one to remember which language you read in. The server does count how many different visitors the home page gets per day, per week and per quarter, but it does so with a code from which no individual visitor can be identified and which is kept for three months at most; there are no third-party cookies, and nothing goes to advertisers. Read the privacy statement.
